Work Assignments

Booked in items can be assigned to any one of your repair technicians through the administration tools. If configured, the technician will receive an SMS, email or Outlook diary notification (for reminder purposes).  Performance charts help you to see where staff may need training, or support.

 

Messaging System

Technicians, managers and customers are sent alerts by email, at certain stages in the repair cycle. e.g. - Techinicians are alerted when a new repair item has been assigned to them. Customers can also be  alerted by SMS, when their repair job has been completed, or at any other stage (totally configurable).

 

Customisable Printouts

Receipts, booking in sheets and invoices are all template driven, so they can be modified relatively easily. Each of the templates is HTML based, so the layout is very easy to understand. Tags such as ' $hometel$ ' are placed wherever the report detail is required during generation. Tags can be ommitted or duplicated as often as you like. As we use HTML, you can easily insert your own logos or other images using a URL. The existing templates are usually fine for most clients' usage.

 

Security Levels

There are 3 security levels currently implemented - technician, manager and administrator. Technicians can only view items that have been assigned to them for repair. They cannot edit other records.

Managers can assign jobs to technicians, book repairs in and out, generate invoices, and amend all repair details.

Administrators can perform the extra functions of being able to change the site configuration, change the CMS pages, and amend the manufacturers and models list. In fact the administration user has a great deal of power over the look and behaviour of the repair tracking system. It has been designed to take different business requirements into account.

 

Repair History

If items have been booked in for repair before, Trailblazer will provide you with a link showing the previous repair history. This quickly enables you to see any recurring problems, or history of water damage, being dropped etc.

 

Parts Store

Trailblazer allows you to configure a set of common parts used in repairs, which can be added to each repair - saving time on typing out details, and automatically calculating the parts cost totals. The parts store can even alert you to low stock levels, if required.

 

Service Codes

Service codes can be configured for common repair or maintenance procedures (such as dust removal), which can then be added to repairs very simply. Costs can be applied to the service codes, and totals are calculated appropriately.

 

Invoicing

Invoices can be generated quickly and simply for trade customers, being exported as a word document for you to print or email it to them.

 

Multi Site

Trailblazer now supports businesses with multiple shops. Employees can be linked to one of the sites, and repairs are automatically assigned to the site linked to the employee booking them in. Admin users and managers can then see repairs in progress at the different sites.

 

Customer Support

Customers are given their own auto generated username and password, when they first book an item in for repair, and this is then used to log in to the customer area of the Trailblazer web site. Trade customers are able to book their own items in through this facility, before sending the item to you for repair. This cuts down your admin time considerably.

Trade customers can now register themselves - saving you even more time and effort!

 

CMS

Trailblazer contains CMS functionality, so that you can create custom pages of your own - e.g. About page, location etc. Links to the custom pages are added to the top menu. In addition, the text for the home page, and side bar can be customised to your own needs.

 

Re-styling

Trailblazer is CSS based, and the colour scheme and font types can be edited through the style.css file. If you have specific needs for the look of your Trailblazer site, please talk to us. We can enhance the appearance of your Trailblazer implementation to your needs.

 

Demo - go to Pendragonrepairs and log in with username 'admin', password 'pendragon'. The database for the demo site is reset daily.
